How did we get a corgi?

The dog who we know from the social media with short legs, breadbutt, who sleeps in strange poses.   How did we get a corgi?  The Corgi has little body, he is friendly and can be taught easily. They were used to guarding and herding cattle and sheep. We saw them first in Cowboy Bebop, a japanese anime about 5 years ago. It was love at first sight. We decided, we would like a corgi too. We moved abroad to a house with a garden, we think it will be good for a dog.   We searched for the first breeder in march of 2020. We wrote e-mails to or called every breeder that looked good in the country close by. These were about 20 Corgi Kennels. We got answers from 3-4 kennels. We would have had to wait with for a puppy or notify them of our need for a puppy in the spring of next year. Not to mention, that most of kennel chose wether you are suitabe for owning a dog after the personal meeting.   We started to plan a visit in June back home to Hungary in August, w...

Christmas in Ghent

We owed this visit to our friends who live in Ghent for a long time, so we spent some days in Ghent before Christmas. Ghent is a university town in Belgium’s flamand region full with history and a particular mood.   Travel We went by car from Amsterdam for about 2 hours. We used to get around by tram and on foot. I liked that you can buy public transport tickets with SMS, but the local people use NFC cards.   Entertaiment Since Ghent is an university town thus, entertainment is more equipped to the lives of college students. Most of the party places are in the city center and they are open on weekdays. The places where college students aren’t going to often like restaurants and bars usually open in the weekend and are more expensive than the places for students. It is worth tasting the local foods and true Belgian beers.   History and attractions (without claiming completeness) One of the sights of Ghent is the Bell tower, that was built in the...

Spring in Amsterdam

When I say: Amsterdam , the first things that come to peoples minds are light drugs and the Red Light District. Although Amsterdam is the capital city of Netherlands, the government headquarters are in Haga.     Travel From Budapest, you can go by airplane with KLM directly or with WizzAir to Eindhoven and from here you can go by train which takes about 2 hours. Who would like to go by car it is possible. If you go by car you don’t have to pay for a toll, but the speed limit must be respected.  When we visited, we went to our friends, so we didn’t pay for the accommodation and get around.   You can use public transport with a rechargeable NFC card which you can use all over the Netherlands not only Amsterdam. Those cards you can buy at the bigger stations and you can fill it up at kiosks.   Outdoor We went in April, specially for the King’s Day event. This day is a holiday in Netherlands, people wear orange clothes and there are markets, pa...

Small roundtrip around Europe

It was an old plan, that we   wanted to travel around Europe by car.   We made it happen this spring exactly at Easter.  The destination was from Budapest to Switzerland, Mont Blanc, Monaco and Italy.     We left from Budapest on Thursday. We slept at a little familiar motel called Gasthaus Transilvania in Austria. We continued from here the next morning and we traveled all day and we arrived to Switzerland, Bulle in the evening.     On Saturday We visited the HR Giger Museum . Hans Rudolf Giger is the Swiss painter, artist and sculptor who won the Oscar award for his design of the creatures in the Alien film. So I recommend this museum who likes those films and mad arts. We went from Bulle to Montreux and we visited the Queen Studio Experience . You can see this for free. It wasn’t easy to find, because it was in the casino. From Montreux, We went to Chamonix by car and took about 1 hour. We visited the Mont Blanc which is the Alps...

Pumpkin Lantern Festival 2018

We visited the Pumpkin Lantern Festival this year as well. The event started at 7 pm but we arrived earlier. This was a good decision, because there were lots of people at 6.30 pm. All of Heroes square was full with pumpkins right after 7 pm. There were classic pumpkin lanterns and references from films and books. Take a look at the picture gallery to discover more references.    Links:  https://vikcsypru.wixsite.com/links TravelGram:  https://www.instagram.com/travel_girl_vik/ Patreon:  https://www.patreon.com/ivikkencsdesignandart
